Sizing Images
The optimal size for images will vary depending on how you will use the image. The two main uses for images are inserting them into a page and displaying them in a photo gallery, and each has it's own needs as far as optimization goes.
Inserting an Image into a Page
You will definitely want to resize an image before uploading it onto the server when you are going to insert it into the page. We recommend making them 250-300 pixels wide. If you make them too big, it can break your layout or cause funny wrapping of text.
Displaying an Image in a Photo Gallery
We recommend sizing your photos down to 800 pixels wide when using them in a Photo Gallery.
