Mike started his Web design career when HTML 2 was the standard and has a background in public relations.
Mike is the founder and member of the board of directors of Spinnaker, LLC, a Web design and hosting company located in Topeka, Kan. Spinnaker designs, hosts and provides consulting services for a wide range of clients, including cities, counties, and economic development organizations.
Mike is an active member of his community and his industry. He is currently a member of the Kansas Partnership for Accessible Technology.
Mike served five terms in the Kansas House of Representatives. He served as the Vice Chair of the Joint Committee on Information Technology and Chaired the House Government Efficiency Committee in the Kansas Legislature.
He previously served on the Kansas Advisory Council on Intergovernmental Relations, as a board member of the Shawnee County Fair Association, and as the chair of the Technology Section of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA).
Mike earned a bachelor's degree in journalism with an emphasis in public relations and a minor in economics from Kansas State University.
