Hint! - At various points throughout this guide, we offer helpful hints. These are denoted by the word hint in bold letters.
Warning! - We also offer a couple of warnings. Please read these carefully.
In addition to section headers, we occasionally use bold text in the middle of a section. Please pay special attention to all bold text.

Warning! ALWAYS remember to click on "SAVE CHANGES" to save your work before leaving the Editor view, even when you temporarily interrupt your work session. Otherwise, your work will be lost.
To preview the page, choose the "View" tab in the Editor's upper menu.
To undo the changes you've made to the page, choose the Undo-feature in the upper menu. Hint! A safer way to undo your changes is to delete them directly in the Editor or in the Publisher, instead of using the Undo feature. If you, for example, should regret creating a new page it is safer to choose Contents, check the box in front of the new document name and click on the Delete-button to remove the page from the system.
Line Break vs. Paragraph Break In HTML there are two kinds of breaks (<br> and <p>). One, the line break, puts text on the very next line; the other, the paragraph break, leaves blank space in between the two lines (like a double space). When you push enter at the end of a line, the editor automatically puts a paragraph break in, which acts as a double space between paragraphs.
Push "Enter" and "Shift" at the same time to insert a line break, which puts text on the very next line.
Add an Image to an Easy Document Adding an image with our system requires a quick two-part process. You have to upload the image first, and then you can place it in an Easy Document.
First: Upload the Image Make sure you are logged into the management interface. Click on the "images" folder. Click on the "Select Type to Add…" drop down box and select "Image". Browse to the image you would like to upload. Type in the name of the image for the "Id:" textfield. Click "Add".
Hint! There is no need to type in a title, unless you would like to use titles as a description to help you distinguish between the images. The end user will not be able to see this.
Second: Add the Image to an Easy Document While logged into the management interface, open the Easy Document you would like to add an image to. Click on the text where you would like to add the image. Click on the picture icon (the one with the mountain in the upper row). Browse to the images folder. (Hint! You may need to click on "up" at the top of the window.) Click on the "images" folder to expand it and show its contents. Click on the image you would like to add. Type in a description of the image in the "Alternate Text" line. You can also adjust some layout and spacing attributes. Click "OK".

Hint! If linking to an external site, make sure you include the "http://". If you do not, the computer will think you are trying to link to an internal page on YOUR site and will give the viewer an error.

Email Spinnaker gives you several options with your email. If you use an email client, such as Microsoft Outlook Express or Outlook, we offer both POP3 and IMAP accounts. You also have access to your email from any web browser through our Web mail interface. We also offer you the ability to manage your own email accounts and set up aliases that forward to another email address.
Spinnaker also scans every incoming and outgoing email for viruses and some basic spam characteristics. We do this as a courtesy. We do not guarantee this service and are not liable for any damage caused by computer viruses. We strongly suggest you use some sort of commercial virus protection. It is very important! Secondly, DON'T OPEN attachments from people you do not know or attachments you are not expecting.
Setting up Email in an Email Client This will help you configure an email client such as Microsoft Outlook Express or Outlook. On our system, you can set up both POP3 and IMAP accounts.
POP3 vs. IMAP POP3 is the most common type of email account. With POP3, your email client logs onto our email server and downloads all of your email messages. When it is done downloading, the messages are deleted from the server and only reside on your computer. This is very handy if you only plan to use an email client to read your messages.
IMAP is another email protocol. With IMAP, your email client logs onto the server and synchronizes with the server. It leaves a copy of all of the messages on the server. If you plan to utilize the Webmail access in addition using an email client, IMAP may be the better option for you. Each IMAP account will download messages into it's own In Box, which usually is located below your local folders in Outlook Express.
